Alpha Sigma Mu

Design In response to a request from the co-presidents of Alpha Sigma Mu Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) Honor Society in October 2022, I undertook the redesign of their website, which had been neglected for several years. Commencing the project in November, I utilized Figma to craft a high-fidelity prototype. Engaging with the executive board, I gathered feedback and iteratively refined the design, addressing concerns related to colors, fonts, and imagery. By the end of November, the design was finalized. Implementation Throughout December and early January, I independently implemented the prototype into a mobile-responsive website, focusing on highlighting tutoring and mentoring events for MSE students. The completed site was seamlessly deployed on the University of Michigan's file hosting service, CyberDuck, ensuring accessibility under the university's domain. This strategic deployment enhances the society's online presence, providing a user-friendly platform for MSE students to access valuable resources and stay informed about tutoring and mentoring opportunities. This project showcased my proficiency in design, responsiveness, and technical deployment, contributing to the revitalization of the society's digital communication channels.
